As part of our Geography learning about the Oceans, Year 5 visited Woolacombe Beach to work with the National Trust. We started by learning about the importance of sand dunes and helped with collecting measurements as part of their recording and profiling. We also took part in a litter collection and identified the types and sizes of plastic that are scattered across our coastlines. After some well-deserved play, we learnt more about plastic pollution and how it affects food chains.
