Year 5 Taiko: Ki

In our music lesson today, we were focusing on our class composition linked with the stimulus piece, ‘In the Hall of the Mountain King’ by Edvard Grieg. Everyone has worked so hard, creating and rehearsing their own parts – developing different ostinato patterns or creating a melodic cyclic pattern using the famous tune from this piece of music. Whilst always concentrating to do our best in every lesson, today we wanted to show out Taiko principle ‘Ki’, which means showing enthusiasm and enjoyment in our learning. We are all proud of this energy and enjoyment being evident in our performing skills, shown here with a group of Taiko players.
