Year 5 have been investigating factors, multiples and division. We have been finding common factors and common multiples of numbers which helps us when we are finding equivalent fractions or simplifying fractions. We have also been consolidating our division skills. We have been learning when an answer may need to be rounded up or down depending on the question that is posed. Using a formal written method (often called the Bus Stop) we have divided larger numbers and even learnt how to divide remainders and how to show them as fractions and or decimals! That's not half bad!
