Year 3 - Archaeologist Dig Site Experience

Year 3 visited the Devonshire Homes site, Mariner’s Haven, to meet archaeologists and view the trenches and artefacts that had been found. 

Some of the findings include:

-     Prehistoric enclosure and straight Roman ditch

-     Roman pottery shard

-     A selection of worked flints

-     A group of small and large prehistoric pits

-     Early Bronze Age decorated beaker pottery (fragment)
