Working Scientifically in Year 3

To deepen our skills at working scientifically, Year 3 have been planning rock enquiries and carrying out investigations! We have tested the reactivity of the rocks with substances such as water. We couldn’t believe it when chalk fizzed! It has been exciting for us to test the different rocks and come to our own conclusions.

We have recorded our findings in tables, which has improved our Maths and English skills at the same time! We have noticed that recording data in tables helps us to summarise what happened in our investigations.

We can’t wait to continue our learning and share what we have learnt!
