Ilfracombe Junior School entered three pairs for this year’s North Devon schools tennis competition, they were: Kaj Guzikiewicz and Tristan Llewellyn Rees, Franek Bogacz and Connor Irwin, Bradley Blackmore and Henry Haynes.
There were lots of schools that entered this year including West Buckland, Woolacombe, Southmead, Kingsacre and Sticklepath.
The competition was split into 3 pools A,B and C, with all teams playing each other, and the top 4 teams playing semi-finals and a final.
All our players played at a great level with our A team just missing out on a semi-final place by a countback on games won as 3 of the teams won 3 and lost 2.
Our B and C teams both qualified from their groups and both went on to win their semis and finals.
