Welcome back!

Updated: Sep 10, 2021

We are so excited to welcome our existing students and our new Year 3 pupils into school tomorrow (Wednesday 8th September). We hope you have all had a wonderful summer and have been enjoying the sunshine over the last few days.

Please find below some helpful information to support a smooth start to the year.

All entrances/exits are now open for all to use. We just ask that if you are entering from Princess Avenue (opposite the police station), you use the pedestrian steps and gate to enter and then exit down the main driveway.

If you are anxious about entering a busy playground feel free to wait outside the gate until the crowds disperse.

8.45am

The school gates open and teachers will be on duty in the playgrounds. Year 3 and Year 4 children should be dropped off in the bottom playground which is adjacent to reception and the main driveway gates. Parents can wait with them until it is time to line up.

This week, Year 5 and Year 6 children will meet their teachers in the top playground. In the future, they will go straight to their classroom.

8.50am

Teachers will take children to their class ready for registration at 8.55am.

If your child is absent due to illness or a medical appointment, please phone the school office on 01271 863463 before 9.15am.

3:15pm

Home time - Year 3 and Year 4 children will be taken to the bottom playground ready for collection. Teachers will be available then if you have any questions or concerns. All other pupils will be led out of school by their teacher and will be able to use any of the three entrances/exits.

Please see the map attached if required.

We love seeing all of the children looking smart and representing our school. Our school uniform is as follows:

· Sweatshirt with our school logo

· White polo T-shirt

· Black/dark grey trousers, shorts or skirts (no leggings or tracksuit bottoms)

· Plain black sensible shoes (closed toes, no heels)

· Royal blue gingham summer dresses

Please make sure you have signed up to the School Gateway app – phone the school office if you need more information.

We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
