STEM Spaghetti Challenge

On Friday 1st November, over 200 Year 5 and 6 children had the opportunity to take part in a Spaghetti Challenge! In teams of three, the children had to design and then build a tower using only spaghetti and marshmallows! This was an amazing opportunity for the children who were allowed to put a range of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) skills into practice in order to create the best free-standing tower which could hold an egg. The children really enjoyed the event and were given a real insight into Engineering in a fun and exciting environment. We would like to thank the STEM ambassadors from NDMA and TDK who helped to run the event here at school.
