In Year 3, we have completed our topic on Rocks, Soils and Fossils. To end the unit, we brought together all of our knowledge to consider our big question: Why are houses today not built like Stone Age houses? Children considered the different materials that were available in the Stone Age and those that are available now. We even replicated the process of making fossils and created our own ‘fossils.’
Following this, we have begun our new topic - Forces and Magnets. We are learning all about pushes and pulls through enquiry and investigations. We have planned them, tested them and evaluated the results of them. Our aim is to accurately and scientifically consider how things move and why things move differently on different surfaces/in different conditions. See some of our investigations in action below!
We can’t wait to update you with more of our learning in Science soon.
