Dear parents and carers,
We are very much looking forward to welcoming all children back to school on Monday 8th March. For primary schools, very little has changed from the arrangements that were in place for the Autumn term. The children will return to their normal class bubbles to be taught by their class teacher and the normal school times will be in place with the entrance and exit plans as before.
Primary aged children will not be expected to wear masks in school and there is no testing in place for Primary aged children. The main change is that staff are now tested twice a week and this will help to identify staff that are asymptomatic with Covid-19.
The teachers have been busy planning the sequences of work for when the pupils return and we will be helping all of the children to settle back in to school life. As before, attendance will be mandatory.
We will be in touch next week with further updates - including when to return laptops that have been borrowed. Until then, our remote learning provision will remain in place and we would like to thank you for your ongoing support with this. If you have any questions or comments about the return to school, please do not hesitate to contact us on 01271 863463 or email on parentsupport@ilfracombe-jun.devon.sch.uk
Kind regards,
Mr Le Bredonchel
Head Teacher
