Year 4 children are listening to a piece of music and expressing their responses to it by either drawing or writing their thoughts. Some children are choosing to do both! We practice expressing our reactions to music consistently in our school. By doing this we aim to: develop our ability to focus on different musical elements; build our vocabulary to describe these elements and how they make us feel; grow our own sense of musical preferences. We hope to start sharing playlists next year so children and families can listen to our music from school – at home!
