Mrs Cox Leaving After 26 Years

A message from Mr Michael Porter, Chair of Governors:

I am writing to inform you that after 26 years of service, 19 of them as Head teacher, Mrs Cox will be leaving Ilfracombe C of E Junior School at the end of this term.

Mixed emotions come from saying goodbye to a Head teacher who has taken our school from strength to strength, year after year. Mrs Cox has been an inspiration to the staff and the Governing Body and has worked extremely hard to ensure that all the children in this school receive the best education available to them. Whilst we are saddened to be losing her, I would like to thank Mrs Cox for her achievements and for placing us in the strong position we are in today. We wish her all the very best for the future.

On a very positive note, after interview with the Governing Body, a Local Authority advisor and member of the Diocese of Exeter, I am very pleased to announce that Mr Jody Le Bredonchel was offered, and has accepted, the Head teacher post from September. We feel extremely confident the school will be in very safe hands and Mr Le Bredonchel’s passion and commitment will allow him to steer the school to even greater success.
