Mayan Inspired Models

This half term Year 6 have been putting their STEM skills to the test! They were given a brief to design a model of a piece of adventure play equipment with an Ancient Mayan theme. During our sessions, we have spent time researching and evaluating existing models, testing and designing different frame structures and exploring how best to strengthen a given frame. We then had lots of fun building our models from scratch using our woodwork skills. Here are some of 6AG’s finished models. Well done Year 6, you did a fantastic job!
