As a school, we have been observing Fairtrade Fortnight and learning about how producers of everyday items that we benefit from, can be given hope and opportunities whilst being treated with dignity rather than being exploited. We understand that we are part of a global community and make wise choices.
Skylah Kershaw-Lewis: "Fairtrade is important because when shopkeepers buy bananas, farmers get a fair amount of money. We can make a change for people on the other side of the world by what we choose to buy."
We hope you enjoy conversations about how we can all buy responsibly, help others and become positive global citizens.
