Our school carol services have once again brought a lot of joy and energy to parents, families and members of our community. The children in Years 3 and 4 performed two services on Tuesday afternoon, and Years 5 and 6 performed their services on Wednesday afternoon. This year our services had to be split across two days to enable everyone to attend. We are very proud of how many people filled the church to hear our children sing. The programmes were varied with Year 3 Taiko players accompanying their carol, Year 4 sharing a magic moment from their Christmas show, Year 5 singing a beautiful spiritual, and Year 6 'Rocking around the Christmas Tree.' The whole school choir sang a wonderful song called 'The Gift' and our school orchestra accompanied a traditional carol, 'Silent Night' with verse 1 being sung in Spanish.
A very special finale song completed Wednesday's performance, with our older children singing a well know song by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, 'Happy Christmas, War is Over' - their two part vocals were absolutely stunning.
With each year group sharing thoughts about what Christmas means to each class, there was a very personal touch to our Christmas celebrations.
We hope everyone left our carol services feeling very proud of their children and full of seasonal joy.
