Outside of school, I can be found enjoying the outdoors. Whether armed with a camera, bike or wetsuit, I love exploring the countryside and appreciating what a beautiful part of the world we are lucky enough to live in.

I moved to the UK from Australia in 2012 with my lovely wife. My favourite subjects are maths and music, but I also love doing science experiments. I have 3 favourite books, The Twits, You’re a Bad Man Mr Gum and the Strongest Man in Gundiwallinup – all because they are just so much fun to read. I am crazy about cricket and will talk, play or watch cricket for hours on end. I also love taking my Labrador Hetty for walks and enjoying the beautiful scenery that North Devon has to offer.

Caroline Nutting - Teacher

I’m really excited about settling into school life in North Devon and hope for lots of fun and magic moments with the wonderful children in 5CN. I love Roald Dahl especially "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." I am very proud of how hard 5CN have been working and am looking forward to having many more magic moments in the year ahead!

James Clatworthy - Teacher

My wife, two children and I have recently moved to Devon from Worcester, to begin a whole new adventure before they start school in the coming years. Nothing quite helps me to relax as much as a BBQ in the garden with friends. Nothing quite causes my wife stress as much as me randomly opening the cook book to rustle up one of my “surprise specialities.” Always a disaster!

 Kimberley Campbell - Teacher

Having trained and taught in Scotland, I moved to Ilfracombe last year and I love it. My hopes and dreams are that all of the children in my class have an enjoyable and successful time in school.  My favourite book is 'The Gruffalo' as it was my niece's favourite book when she was little and we would read it together. I am very proud of the children in 5CA as they have been working hard and I look forward to the year ahead.

Shelly Couling- LSA

My hopes and dreams for the year ahead would have to be that my two children are happy and enjoying life and that my son Max enjoys his last few terms here at the school.

My all time favourite children's book is the Gruffalo's child :-).

Re-locating from Oxfordshire to Devon three years ago and seeing my children adapt and settle so well into Devon life makes me very proud .

Wendy Merchant - LSA

So enjoying working with the current Year 5 children, especially in 5AV. Also taking the whole school for swimming lessons.

One of my favourite children's books is Rumpus at the Vet (Hairy McClary).

I have two children who I am very proud of ~ both working in the world of ICT ~ miss them both as they work away.

Julie Davidson - LSA

My favourite books are the Harry Potter collection by J.K. Rowling.

My hobbies are walking and I completed a 26.2 mile walk through London at night for charity

I like spending quality time with my family and I am immensely proud of my four fantastic children who amaze and inspire me every day.

Amy Simpson - LSA

I have worked with children since 1999. Its lovely seeing a few familiar faces around the school that I looked after as babies.  I hope the children have an enjoyable fun experience at school, positive memories like I have.

I have an eleven year old son that keeps me busy with his clubs etc. In my free time I enjoy camping and spending time with friends and family.

My favourite children’s book is The Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton. It was read to me as a child.

Jill Brown - LSA

My favourite children’s books has to be the Harry Potter series. What an amazing imagination J K Rowling has.

To clear my mind I like to go walking in the countryside. Its good exercise and I always feel better for having made the effort.

What I like most about my work at school is the variety as I work in different classroom with children of varying abilities and needs. This makes my job very interesting.

Debbie Clews - LSA

My favourite children’s book is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

I have enjoyed working with children over the years. I hope that by giving them all the support we can they have the amazing lives they wish for.
