My hopes and dreams are that all the children in my class have a successful and enjoyable time throughout year 4.

"The Gruffalo" is my favourite children's book, I love the rhyming couplets! I am a big fan of lots of the books by Julia Donaldson.

I am really proud of my successes so far as I have completed a degree and now work in a career that I love!

I am really looking forward to all the adventures, laughs and positive learning that will happen from September!

My favourite books are by Oliver Jeffers and I can’t wait to share lots of beautiful and interesting books with my new class.

I love living in North Devon and in my spare time my favourite thing to do is to get outside and explore the beaches, in and out of the water!

Ruth Goodenough - Teacher

For the year ahead, I hope to inspire my Year 3 class with my own love of learning. I hope we will discover some amazing writers together, become brilliant problem solvers in maths and, best of all, become super scientists! My dream is for more children to love science.

My favourite children’s book is “Fantastic Mr Fox” by Roald Dahl, as it shows the triumph of animals over humans and how amazing they are at survival. I love spending time with my very own clever little fox-like dog called Téa - and Woody, a not-so clever dog, who we rescued from Battersea Dogs home!

I am most proud of my two daughters, who teach me new things every day and keep me smiling. I’m also very proud to be teaching in such a fantastic school: my old Junior school, which has given me so many wonderful memories.

I am most proud of my family, my husband Steve and my two children, Sammy and, Maisie who are very special in more ways than one.
